Walley's Hot Springs, Nevada

30 minutes east of South Lake Tahoe lies Walley's Hot Springs Resort - 5 natural hot spring mineral pools set against the picturesque backdrop of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Pools come in varying temperatures, and each has its own special view. In general I adore hot tubs - so the additional bonus of being surrounded by nature makes me inclined to pay the somewhat steep pricetag of $50 for a day pass. The resort is fully equipped with day spa amenities and changing rooms. Next door you can find a rustic lodge with good eats and live music.
